Christopher Lopez Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Crash on FM 41 at Highway 87

Lubbock, Texas (August 21, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed Friday morning in a motorcycle crash in Lubbock.

The deadly accident happened around 8:00 a.m., August 20, at the intersection of FM 41 and Highway 87.

DPS said a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on FM 41 while a motorcycle was traveling southbound on Highway 87.

The pickup pulled out in front of the motorcycle at the intersection, resulting in a collision.

The motorcyclist, 28-year-old Christopher Lee Lopez of Lubbock, was killed in the crash.

The pickup driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
