Christopher Washington Killed in Car Crash on Scott Street in Houston; Nathan Lee Christian Charged

Christopher Washington Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Scott Street at Zephyr Street; Nathan Lee Christian Charged

Houston, Texas (March 10, 2020)According to the Houston police, a suspect has been arrested and charged after a police pursuit ended in a crash that left one person dead last Tuesday in Houston.

The fatal crash happened at about 1:10 p.m. March 3, at 6200 Scott Street on Zephyr Street.

Police said Southeast patrol officers were pursuing a white Honda Accord which had been reported stolen, northbound on Scott Street when it crashed into a white Nissan Sentra that was heading eastbound on Zephyr Street.

The impact caused the Nissan to roll over.

The Nissan driver and a passenger were taken to local hospitals in critical condition.

Nathan Lee Christian, 17, who was driving the Honda, and a back seat passenger were taken to Texas Children’s Hospital with broken bones. Christopher Washington, 16, who was the front-seat passenger, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on March 4.

Christian was arrested and charged with murder, four counts of aggravated assault with bodily injury, endangering a child, evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
