Cindy Perkins Killed in Sabine County Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 87

Sabine County, Texas (November 24, 2020) – A woman was killed, and another was injured in a head-on collision Sunday afternoon in Sabine County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 5:30 p.m., November 22, on SH 87, just two miles south of Six Mile.

DPS said Cindy Perkins, 63, of Hemphill, was driving a Toyota SUV northbound when she crossed over the center line and crashed head-on into a 2014 Ford SUV driven by Catherine McGue, 53, of Washington, Louisiana.

Perkins was pronounced dead at the scene.

McGue was taken to Sabine County Hospital in unknown condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
