Clyde Thompson and Tonysha Smith Killed in Beaumont Two-Vehicle Crash on S. MLK Junior Parkway

Beaumont, Texas (November 11, 2021) – Two people were killed early Saturday morning in a wrong-way crash in Beaumont, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:15 a.m., November 6, in the 2400 block of S. Martin Luther King Junior Parkway.

Police said Antonio De Jesus Delgado, 22, of Beaumont, was driving a pickup truck northbound in the southbound lanes when he crashed head-on into a car.

The car driver, Clyde Thompson, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, Tonysha Lashay Smith, 19, was taken to the hospital where they later died.

Delgado was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers said alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
