Connie Hughes Dies in Northwest Odessa Pedestrian Crash on West 42nd Street
Odessa, Texas (February 16, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Northwest Odessa on Thursday night, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported at about 8:04 p.m. February 14 in the 1100 block of West 42nd Street.
Police said Connie Hughes, 49, of Odessa was trying to cross northbound 42nd Street when she was hit by a black 2012 Jeep Patriot driven by Shelly Long, 27.
Hughes was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation.
