Cora Goneau, Joseph Griffith and Laramie Dunn Hospitalized after Tyler County Multi-Vehicle Crash at US 190 and FM 92

Tyler County, Texas (December 15, 2019) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon at a Tyler County intersection, according to the DPS.

The crash occurred around 2:00 p.m., December 14, at the intersection of US 190 and FM 92.

DPS said a 2012 GMC pickup truck towing a horse trailer was traveling eastbound on US 190 while a Hyundai passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on US 190.

The Hyundai failed to yield the right of way while turning left onto FM 92 and was struck by the GMC pickup truck.

The impact caused the GMC pickup truck to travel into a convenience store parking lot where it struck a Chevrolet Trailblazer and a Ford pickup truck. The GMC pickup truck continued through the parking lot and crashed into the wall of the convenience store.

The Hyundai driver, 36-year-old Cora Goneau of Woodville, and her passenger, Joseph Griffith, 31, were taken to Baptist hospital in Beaumont with serious injuries.

The GMC pickup truck, 21-year-old Laramie Dunn of Petrolia, Texas, was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The drivers of the Chevrolet Trailblazer and the Ford pickup truck were uninjured in the crash.

The two horses and six dogs in the GMC pickup truck were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
