Corinna Tovar ID’d as Baby Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Moursund Boulevard at Dollar General Store Parking Lot
San Antonio, Texas (February 26, 2019) – The baby who was killed in a suspected DUI crash which left her mother seriously injured Monday afternoon outside a Dollar General store in San Antonio has been identified as Corinna Tovar,1, according to the police.
The deadly accident occurred on Monday, February 25, at the parking lot of a Dollar General along Moursund Boulevard.
Police said Tovar was in the seat of a shopping cart as her mother was placing groceries into the back of her car when a blue truck driven by David Fuentes,25, made a wide turn as he pulled into the parking lot. The truck then struck the mother and the shopping cart. The impact knocked Tovar out of the shopping cart.
Tovar was rushed to the hospital where she later died. Her mother was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Fuentes was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
He is being held on bonds totaling $75,000.
The crash remains under investigation.
