Craig Allen Sweed ID’d as Man Killed in Navasota Motorcycle Accident on Highway 6

Navasota, Texas (August 17, 2019) – The man who was killed in a motorcycle accident Friday morning in Navasota has been identified as Craig Allen Sweed, 55, of Washington County, according to the police.

The fatal crash took place around 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 6 near the SH 105 exit.

Police said Sweed was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a pickup truck.

The pickup’s driver performed CPR on Sweed, but he was sadly declared dead at the scene.

Motorists were detoured off the northbound lanes of the highway for several hours as investigators worked on the scene.

An investigation is underway.
