Craig Creel Steward Killed in Waco Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Waco, Texas (March 29, 2021) – According to police, a man was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Waco.

The deadly accident happened just before 1:00 a.m., March 27, on Interstate 35, just north of the 17th/18th Street exit.

Police said Craig Creel Steward, 36, was struck by a passing vehicle on the interstate.

Steward was found on SB I-35 and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the involved vehicle was possibly a dark gray or silver Freightliner truck tractor.

The police are looking for the involved driver and vehicle.
