Cristian Vavich Killed in Tyler Pedestrian Accident on South Broadway Avenue

Cristian Vavich ID’d as Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle Friday morning on South Broadway Avenue at South Town Drive 

Tyler, Texas (August 27, 2022) – The pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle Friday morning in Tyler has been identified as Cristian Vavich, 35.

The deadly accident happened around 5:45 a.m., Friday, August 26, at the intersection of South Broadway Avenue and  South Town Drive, near Papacita’s.

Vavich, a resident of Tyler, was crossing South Broadway Avenue from the area of Whataburger when he was hit by a Toyota truck.

The Toyota reportedly swerved in attempt to avoid Vavich but ended up hitting him.

Vavich died at the scene of the crash.

The crash closed all northbound lanes on S. Broadway Avenue.

The police are investigating the crash.
