Cynthia Ann Lopez Killed in McAllen Two-Vehicle Crash on East Nolana Avenue

McAllen, Texas (January 8, 2022) – A woman was killed Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in McAllen, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 7:00 p.m., January 6, in the 1300 block of East Nolana Avenue, west of Jackson Road.

Police said Claudia Ann Carrizales, 29, of McAllen, was speeding away from a previous collision when she collided with another vehicle.

Cynthia Ann Lopez, 46, of McAllen, was killed in the crash.

Two other people in the victim’s vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Carrizales was also taken to the hospital and is facing charges in connection with the hit-and-run.

No other information was available.

An investigation is underway.
