Cynthia Whitaker Killed in Hunt County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 69 near Lone Oak

Hunt County, Texas (January 23, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured in a head-on collision Thursday evening in Hunt County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly crash happened around 6:45 p.m., January 21, in the 6300 block of Highway 69 near Lone Oak.

DPS said Cynthia Whitaker of Lone Oak was driving a Toyota Corolla northbound on the highway when she veered into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Greg Bostick of Point.

Alexander was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bostick was taken to the Hunt Regional Medical Center of Greenville with non-life-threatening injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
