Daniel King Killed, Braydon King, Brocton King and John Martin Injured in Polk County Helicopter Crash at Galloway Lane and Highway 146

Polk County, Texas (December 31, 2021) – One person was killed, and three others were injured Thursday morning in a helicopter crash in Polk County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 11:45 a.m., December 30, at Galloway Lane and Highway 146, southeast of Livingston.

Authorities said a Bell 206 helicopter crashed deep in the woods.

One of the three passengers, Daniel King, 54, of Livingston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two passengers, Braydon King, 26, and Brocton King, 23, from Livingston, were taken to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Livingston.

The pilot, John Martin, 73, of Montgomery, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Medical Center area.

The conditions of the injured victims have not been disclosed.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
