Daryl Wayne Strong Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Sawdust Road in The Woodlands

66-Year-Old Daryl Wayne Strong Killed in The Woodlands Pedestrian Accident on Sawdust Road near Sawmill Road

The Woodlands, Texas (February 26, 2020) – A man was killed earlier this month in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in The Woodlands, according to the DPS.

The accident happened sometime between 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, and 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, on Sawdust Road east of Sawmill Road.

DPS said an unknown vehicle was traveling eastbound when it hit Daryl Wayne Strong, 66, of Houston.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

Strong was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital The Woodlands in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, February 16.

The authorities are looking for the suspect.
