David Mendez Injured in San Angelo Motorcycle Accident on Knickerbocker at Valleyview

San Angelo, Texas (March 2, 2023) – According to a local news source, a motorcyclist was injured Tuesday night in a crash in San Angelo.

The crash happened around 9:00 p.m., February 28, at the intersection of Knickerbocker and Valleyview.

According to the report, David Mendez was riding his motorcycle northeast while a black Mazda sedan was heading southwest.

The Mazda turned left at the intersection and failed to yield the right-of-way to the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.

The force of the impact knocked the helmet off Mendez. He was taken to Shannon Medical Center with life-threatening head injuries and was later transferred to a San Antonio hospital, where he underwent one surgery. A second surgery was expected to happen on Friday.
