David Surber Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Accident on 82nd Street and Ash Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (December 26, 2019) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon in Lubbock, according to a local news release.

The deadly crash happened just after noon, December 23, on 82nd Street and Ash Avenue.

Police said a pickup truck pulling a trailer and a motorcycle were heading westbound in the 100 block of East 82nd Street. The motorcycle which was behind the truck rear-ended the trailer. 

The impact caused the motorcycle to enter the eastbound lanes where it hit an eastbound roll-off dumpster.

The motorcyclist, 33-year-old David Surber, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
