Destiny Sells and Shane Hardy Killed in Hardin County Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 105

Beaumont, Texas (December 29, 2019) – Two people were killed Friday night in a fiery three-vehicle crash near the Jefferson and Hardin County line, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 7:15 p.m. on December 27, on Highway 105 west of Bevil Oaks.

DPS said a white Chevrolet passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on the highway when it crossed into the eastbound traffic lane and hit black 2005 Mercury SUV and a red 2017 Kia SUV. 

The impact caused the Chevrolet to catch fire.

The Chevrolet driver, Shane Hardy, 20, of Sour Lake and passenger, Destiny Sells, 20, of Port Arthur, were killed in the crash.

The driver of the black 2005 Mercury SUV, Shadron Priddy, 52, of Sour Lake was taken to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

The driver of the red 2017 Kia SUV, Kathryn Allen, 61, of Shepherd, was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
