Dillon Patrick Coy Killed, Theodore Dalton Wells Injured in Taylor Two-Vehicle Crash on Carlos Parker Boulevard SW

Taylor, Texas (June 1, 2020) – A man was killed, and another was injured early Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Taylor, according to police.

The fatal crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. in the 300 block of Carlos Parker Boulevard SW.

Police said 24-year-old Dillon Patrick Coy was driving a 2001 Honda Civic westbound when he went off the roadway and struck a reflector pole on the right side of the roadway. Coy then over-corrected, veered left, crossed the median into oncoming traffic and struck an 18-wheeler driven by 56-year-old Theodore Dalton Wells.

Coy was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Wells was taken to Seton Williamson County Medical Center with minor injuries.

The Taylor Police Department is investigating the crash.
