Dolores Munoz and James Wyatt Killed, Javier Munoz Injured in Vidor Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10
Vidor, Texas – Two people were killed and four others were injured Monday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Vidor, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash happened around 11:15 a.m., March 11, on Interstate Highway 10 East, near the 861-mile marker.
Authorities said a 2016 Ram 2500 was traveling eastbound in the inside lane and was being followed by a 2023 Nissan Murano.
A 2021 Ram 1500 was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane when it crashed head-on into the 2016 Ram. Both vehicles veered left and were both struck by the Nissan Murano.
The driver of the 2016 Ram pickup, 62-year-old Javier Munoz of Houston, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His passenger, 53-year-old Dolores Munoz of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 2021 Ram pickup, 60-year-old James Wyatt of Orange, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and two passengers in the Nissan were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Texas DPS is investigating the crash.
