Domingo Hernandez and Omar Vasquez-Lara Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at 34th Street and I-27

Lubbock, Texas (July 27, 2020) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Lubbock, according to police.

The crash occurred shortly after 6:15 p.m., July 26, at the intersection of 34th Street and I-27.

Police said Domingo Hernandez, 43, was driving a Dodge Ram pickup westbound in the 800 block of 34th Street while Omar Vasquez-Lara, 42, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado northbound on the access road of I-27. The vehicles then collided at the intersection.

Hernandez was taken to UMC with serious injuries.

Vasquez-Lara sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
