Dominique Orta Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Prue Road
San Antonio, Texas (November 17, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in San Antonio has been identified as Dominique Orta,18, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash happened around 1:32 a.m., November 15, in the 7900 block of Prue Road.
Police said a Ford Mustang was traveling westbound while a Dodge Challenger was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane and pulled up alongside the Mustang.
As the cars crested a small hill, the Challenger driver saw a vehicle coming eastbound in his direction, and he sped up and tried to cut back into the westbound lane to avoid a head-on collision.
The Challenger then struck the Mustang. The impact caused the Mustang to hit a light pole and rollover.
Orta, who was a back seat passenger in the Mustang, was ejected, and the Mustang came to rest on top of her. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help with Orta’s funeral expenses.
The crash remains under investigation.
We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dominique Orta.
