Donna Doss Fatal Pedestrian Accident on I-20 in Abilene

Donna Doss ID’d as Border Patrol Agent Killed in Abilene Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 20
Abilene, Texas (February 4, 2019) – The Border Patrol Agent who was fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Abilene has been identified as Donna Doss,49, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident occurred at about 8:15 p.m. February 2, on the south service road of I-20 near mile marker 276, between Tye and Merkel.
Officials said Doss was helping DPS determine a subject’s alienage during a vehicle stop and was walking southbound across the road when a westbound vehicle struck her.
Doss was killed in the crash. She was the United States Border Patrol Agent and has served for nearly 16 years for the Border Patrol. She was from Class 569.
The car driver, a 79-year-old Merkel man, was uninjured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
