Driver Killed in Tow Truck Crash on South Beltway in Houston

One Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Sam Houston Parkway South

Houston, Texas (November 12, 2020) – A driver was killed early Thursday morning after crashing into a tow truck in Houston, according to deputies.

The crash happened just before 1:00 a.m., on the shoulder of Sam Houston Parkway South near Gessner.

According to deputies, they were assisting a stranded motorist when a speeding Hyundai rear-ended a tow truck that was assisting the motorist.

The Hyundai driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
