Driver Killed While Checking on Disabled Vehicle on Bush Turnpike in Plano
1 Killed in Plano Crash on Bush Turnpike near Preston Road
Plano, Texas (July 22, 2019) – A person was killed in a traffic accident Sunday night in Plano, a local news source reported.
The collision took place around 9:15 p.m. July 21, in the eastbound lanes of the Bush Turnpike near Preston Road.
DPS said a Nissan car was disabled in the roadway and the driver got out to check on it. A Volvo SUV then hit the Nissan car and the driver.
The victim was taken to the hospital where they were declared dead.
The SUV driver sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
