Driver Seriously Injured in Fiery Rear-End Crash on I-35 in Hill County

One Seriously Injured in Hill County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

Hill County, Texas (April 22, 2020) – One person was airlifted after a rear-end collision Monday evening in the Abbott area, according to a local news source.

The crash happened on Monday, April 20, on the Interstate 35 service road.

Troopers said the driver of a Ford Raptor truck failed to control his speed and rear-ended an 18-wheeler. The impact caused the pickup to catch fire.

The driver of the Ford was airlifted to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waco with non-life-threatening injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
