Earl Roberson Killed, Dreama Marie Reese Injured in Rusk County Two-Vehicle Crash at US 259 and FM 850

Rusk County, Texas (November 23, 2019) – One person was killed, and another was injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Rusk County, almost seven miles south of Kilgore, according to the authorities.

The crash happened on Tuesday, November 19, in the area of US 259 and FM 850.

According to investigators, Earl Roberson, 76 of Overton, was driving a 2013 Cadillac SRX eastbound on FM 850 when he stopped to make a turn. Dreama Marie Reese, 21 of Longview, was driving southbound on US 259 approaching the intersection.

Roberson tried to drive across US 259 and was struck by Reese.

Roberson was taken to UT-Health in Henderson, where he later died.

Reese was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview in a stable condition.

The Henderson DPS office is investigating the crash.
