Earnest Turner ID’d as Man Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on I-35

Austin, Texas (April 2, 2019) – The man who was critically injured on the night of March 17 in a pedestrian accident near downtown Austin has succumbed to his injuries, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. March 17, in the 3100 block of I-35 North.
Police said the victim, identified as Earnest Turner, 53, was trying to cross the street eastbound when he was hit by a northbound 2005 silver Nissan Altima.
Turner was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with minor injuries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
