Eddie Dunwoody Jr. Injured in Orange County Multi-Vehicle Crash at SH 12 and FM 1136

Orange County, Texas (December 22, 2019) – One person was injured Friday night in a multi-vehicle crash in Orange County, according to the DPS.

The crash took place around 8:00 p.m. December 20, at the intersection of SH 12 and FM 1136.

DPS said 38-year-old Eddie Dunwoody Jr. of Vidor, was driving a 2019 Kia passenger vehicle westbound on SH 12 while a 2007 Toyota SUV was traveling eastbound on SH 12.

Dunwoody failed to yield the right of way while turning left onto FM 1136 and was struck by the Toyota.

The Kia caught fire upon impact.

Dunwoody sustained minor injuries in the crash but declined transportation to the hospital.

The Toyota driver, 19-year-old Joey Stark of Beaumont, and his passenger were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
