19-Year-Old Eddie Duran Seriously Injured in El Paso Crash at Walter Jones Drive and Global Reach Boulevard

El Paso, Texas (October 5, 2022) – Eddie Duran, 19, was seriously injured Tuesday evening in a crash involving a semi-truck at an intersection in El Paso, according to authorities.

The crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, at the intersection of Walter Jones Drive and Global Reach Boulevard.

Authorities said Duran was driving a Tan Kia Cardenza eastbound on Walter Jones Drive in the right lane at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and drifted to the right and crashed into a curb.

Duran’s vehicle then veered into the westbound lanes of Walter Jones Driver, where it collided with a semi-truck.

Duran sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.

Speed was considered a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
