Eddie Simmons Killed in Nacogdoches Pedestrian Accident on North Street

Nacogdoches, Texas (December 15, 2021) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle Monday evening in Nacogdoches, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 5:45 p.m., December 13, in the 4100 block of North Street.

Police said Eddie Simmons, 67, of Nacogdoches, was attempting to cross the street on foot when he was struck by a northbound 2007 Chevy pickup truck.

Simmons was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chevy driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The police are conducting the investigation.
