20-Year-Old Edgar Ortega Robledo Killed in Southeast Austin Multi-Vehicle Crash on US 183 at McKenzie Road

Austin, Texas (April 27, 2020) – The person who was killed Sunday night in a multi-vehicle crash that left another person seriously injured in southeast Austin has been identified as Edgar Ortega Robledo,20, of Kerrville, according to the Travis County Medical Examiner.

The fatal crash happened just after 11:00 p.m. on April 26, at the intersection of South US 183 and McKenzie Road.

DPS said Robledo was driving a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on McKenzie Road when he ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a 2016 Toyota Sienna.

The impact caused the Sienna to travel northeast off the roadway. The Volkswagen came to rest at the intersection and was hit by another vehicle.

Robledo was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another victim, an adult, was taken to South Austin Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
