Man, 70, Injured in Port Arthur Bicycle Collision on Memorial Boulevard

Port Arthur, Texas (April 16, 2019) – A 70-year-old man sustained major injuries in an accident where he was hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on Monday night in Port Arthur, the authorities said.
The wreck happened in the 2600 block of Memorial Boulevard shortly before 9:30 p.m. April 14.
According to the authorities, the elderly man was riding his bicycle along Memorial Boulevard when a vehicle struck him. The man sustained serious injuries and was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
The driver who struck the rider was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
The authorities have not released the identities of the parties involved in this collision.
