Elderly Woman Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Oak Hill Road near Viva Max Drive; 59-Year-Old Woman Arrested

San Antonio, Texas (May 12, 2022) – A woman in her 70s was fatally hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning in San Antonio, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just after 10:30 a.m., May 11, off Oak Hill Road near Viva Max Drive.

Police said the woman was walking down the sidewalk when she was struck by a Ford Edge that had lost control.

The Edge then hit a tree before coming to a final rest.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The Edge driver, a 59-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital. She was later arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter

The police are investigating the crash.
