Woman Killed in Fort Bend County Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on FM 1092 near Missouri City; Marlon Alexander Zavala Charged
Fort Bend County, Texas (January 18, 2020) – An elderly woman was killed Friday evening in a hit-and-run accident in Fort Bend County near Missouri City, according to the deputies.
The deadly accident happened at about 6:00 p.m. on January 17, on FM 1092 near Stafford Run Road.
Deputies said the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a red 1997 Honda CRV with the license plate number MCC3125.
The woman was killed in the crash.
The Honda driver pulled into a nearby parking lot but then took off moments later.
The Honda driver, Marlon Alexander Zavala, was later located and arrested around 9:45 p.m.
Zavala was taken into custody and has been charged with leaving the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident, a second-degree felony.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
