Eliseo Rene Saldivar Killed in San Benito Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 732

San Benito, Texas (April 17, 2021) – Two teenagers were killed earlier this month in a two-vehicle crash in San Benito, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 7:40 p.m., April 5, on FM 732 near Resaca Llena Drive.

DPS said a vehicle was traveling northbound on the highway when the driver lost control and swerved into a ditch. The driver attempted to reenter the roadway but crashed into a black Chevrolet Silverado.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Christian Valdovinos, 16, of San Benito, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Eliseo Rene Saldivar, 15, of San Benito, was also taken to the hospital, where he died on April 8.

No further details were provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
