Emilee Attwood Killed and Cody Harrison Injured in Odessa Pedestrian Crash on FM 2020

Odessa, Texas (July 29, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was injured early Monday morning in a pedestrian accident, one mile west of Odessa, according to DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 2:30 a.m., July 27, on FM 2020.

DPS said Emilee Attwood was attempting to help Cody Harrison with a car that had broken down on the side of the highway when they were both struck by a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Andres Ramirez-Fernandez.

Attwood was pronounced dead at the scene while Harrison was taken to Medical Center Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

No further details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
