Ereca Davila Killed in Crosby County Pedestrian Crash on US Highway 62

Crosby County, Texas (January 5, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning in a crash in Crosby County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened just before 6:00 a.m., January 3, on US Highway 62, north of Ralls.

DPS said 64-year-old Ereca Borjas Davila, of Cone, was walking southbound on the roadway when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Augustine Garcia Jr., of Lubbock.

Davila was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garcia was treated and released at the scene.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
