Esequiel Sanchez-Mota ID’d as Man Killed in East Laredo Four-Vehicle Crash on Texas 359
Laredo, Texas (August 10, 2019) – The man who was killed in a four-vehicle crash Friday morning in East Laredo has been identified as Esequiel Sanchez-Mota, 36, of Laredo, according to the police.
The fatal crash took place at about 11:30 a.m., August 9, in the 6900 block of Texas 359 at Old Milwaukee Road.
Police said Sanchez-Mota was driving a blue 2000 Nissan Frontier when he disregarded a red light at the intersection and crashed head-on into a red 2015 Kenworth tractor.
The Frontier then crashed into a brown 2018 Dodge Ram and a black Ford F-150, which were stationary in the westbound lane of Texas 359.
The impact pinned Sanchez-Mota inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. He was then taken to the Laredo Medical Center, where he later died.
The LPD’s crash team is conducting the investigation.
