Evangelina Gutierrez Killed in Orange Grove Pedestrian Accident on FM 738

Orange Grove, Texas (November 20, 2019) – A teenager was killed Tuesday morning in a pedestrian accident just north of Orange Grove, according to the state troopers.

The accident took place on Tuesday, November 19, on FM 738.

State troopers said a Chevrolet Silverado was heading southbound on FM 738 while a male and a female pedestrian were walking on the side of the southbound lane.

Due to heavy fog and low visibility, the Silverado driver was unable to see the pedestrians and hit the female pedestrian.

Evangelina Gutierrez, 13, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were provided.

The DPS troopers are investigating the crash.
