Fabian Mireles, Raul Vargas Jr., and Juan Mireles Perez Killed in SE Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on East Ben White Boulevard

Austin, Texas (July 21, 2021) – The three people who were killed earlier this month in a two-vehicle crash in southeast Austin have been identified as Fabian Xavier Mireles, 16, Raul Vargas Jr., 40, and Juan Antonio Mireles Perez, 39, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:44 a.m., July 11, in the 4400 block of East Ben White Boulevard, near Burleson Road.

Police said a gray 2009 Chevy Silverado truck and a maroon 2009 four-door Acura were traveling westbound when they collided.

The impact caused the Silverado truck to go over the barrier and fall over the overpass on its roof in a parking lot near the frontage road.

The three occupants in the Silverado, Mireles, Vargas, and Perez, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Acura was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Acura remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
