Family Injured in Alief Two-Vehicle Crash at Kirkwood and Corona Lane

Alief, Texas (July 23, 2021) – According to the police, a family was injured Thursday night in a hit-and-run crash involving a street racing driver in Alief.

The crash happened around 8:09 p.m., July 22, in the 7500 block of S. Kirkwood at Corona Lane.

Police said a Camaro was traveling southbound and was racing an SUV when the Camaro collided with the family’s van as it was turning left.

The SUV left the scene after the accident.

The Camaro driver also fled the scene.

Several adults and children inside the van were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not disclosed.

The authorities are investigating to confirm if the drivers were racing.

An investigation is underway.
