Family of Three Hit by Car on Oak Trace Drive in Beaumont

Man, Woman and Child Injured in Beaumont Pedestrian Accident on Oak Trace Drive

Beaumont, Texas (July 30, 2020) – A family of three was hit by a car Wednesday evening in the Oak Trace subdivision in west Beaumont, according to police.

The accident happened at about 6:50 p.m., July 29, on Oak Trace Drive near Delaware.

Police said a man, a woman, and a child were in front of their home when they were struck by a car.

The female driver fled the scene on foot.

The child was airlifted to a Houston hospital for treatment.

The man and the woman were transported to the hospital by an ambulance.

The driver was found in a nearby backyard and taken into custody.

The police are investigating the crash.
