Fatal Gregg County Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 259 near Danville Road

Gregg County, Texas (April 27, 2022) – According to a local news source, a fatal two-vehicle crash happened on Wednesday in Gregg County.

The fatal crash happened on U.S. 259 south of Danville Road near the city of Kilgore.

According to the report, two vehicles were involved in the crash.

The crash was reported as fatal but the number of people killed was not provided.

The bypass at US 259 and Danville Road was closed in both directions following the crash and the northbound traffic was being detoured around Danville Road to Stone Road and back to the bypass. The southbound traffic was being detoured to FM 2204 back into town.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
