Man Killed in Mauriceville Pedestrian Accident on Highway 12 near Woodridge

Mauriceville, Texas (November 27, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Tuesday night in Mauriceville, according to the authorities.

The deadly crash occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. November 26, on Highway 12 near Woodridge.

Authorities said a man and a woman were attempting to cross the highway when the man was hit by a westbound Dodge Nitro.

The man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed.

The woman and the Dodge driver were uninjured in the crash.

The Highway was closed for about two hours following the crash.

The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.
