FedEx Driver Injured in Crash with 18-Wheeler on Hwy 277 in Abilene

Driver Hospitalized After Abilene FedEx Crash on Highway 277

Abilene, Texas (May 28, 2020) – One person was injured Wednesday morning in a FedEx truck crash in Abilene, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened at about 9:15 a.m., May 27, on Highway 277.

DPS said a tanker truck was broken down on the side of the northbound lanes of the highway when it was rear-ended by a FedEx truck, which came over a hill and couldn’t stop in time.

The FedEx driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
