Firefighter Killed, 2 Injured in Plane Crash near Highway 149 in Montgomery County

Firefighter Dies in Montgomery County Plane Crash near Highway 149

Montgomery County, Texas (March 28, 2019) – One person died while two others were injured when a plane crashed near Montgomery County on Wednesday afternoon, according to the DPS.
The incident was reported at about 2 p.m. March 27 in the Sam Houston National Forest, south of Highway 149
Three people were on board the Eurocopter AS350 when it went down. The three were the pilot and two firefighters.
One firefighter died in the wreck.
The other firefighter and the pilot were pulled out of the wreckage by the emergency crews and were rushed to a hospital. The two were said to be in stable condition.
No details were released on the identities of the parties involved.
The cause of the wreck is currently under investigation.
