Fireman’s Wife Hit by Vehicle on Highway 90 in Grimes County

Woman Injured in Grimes County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 90

Grimes County, Texas (December 16, 2019) – The wife of a volunteer firefighter was hit by a vehicle Saturday afternoon in Grimes County, north of Anderson, according to the troopers.

The accident happened on Saturday, December 14, on Highway 90 near Marl Lane.

Troopers said firefighters were already on the scene of a crash when a pickup truck driver swerved off the highway to avoid hitting stopped vehicles and struck the woman who was standing near a gate on private property.

The woman, who is the wife of one of the firefighters had responded to the scene with her husband in their personal vehicle.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a broken leg.

An investigation is underway.
