Four Teenagers Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Spur 28 at Highway 35 in Danbury

4 Teenagers Airlifted after Danbury Two-Vehicle Crash on Spur 28 at Highway 35

Danbury, Texas (September 30, 2019) – Four Lake Jackson teenagers were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Danbury, according to officials.

The crash happened around 8:20 p.m., September 28, on Spur 28 at Highway 35.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 16-year-old girl was driving a Chevrolet Malibu westbound on Spur 28 when she failed to yield while turning onto southbound Highway 35.

A Ford F-350 pulling a trailer was heading northbound on Highway 35 and crashed into the Chevrolet.

The Chevrolet driver, two other 16-year-old girls, and a 17-year-old boy were trapped in the vehicle.

Responding emergency crews freed the teenagers, and they were airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston in unknown conditions.

The Ford driver, a 56-year-old woman, and her 27-year-old female passenger, both from Santa Fe, were uninjured in the crash.

Brazosport ISD Superintendent Danny Massey confirmed that Brazoswood High School students were involved.

The crash closed Highway 35 for more than four hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
