Franchesca Meghan Novick Killed in Bell County Two-Vehicle Crash at SH 95 and FM 93

Bell County, Texas (April 7, 2021) – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in rural Bell County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 12:20 p.m., April 6, at the intersection of FM 93 and State Highway 95, just north of Little River-Academy.

Troopers said Franchesca Meghan Novick, 27, of Bastrop, was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on SH 95 approaching a stop sign while a 50-year-old Lexington man was driving a 1999 Peterbilt truck tractor towing a semi-trailer eastbound on FM 93.

Novick stopped at the stop sign, but she failed to yield the right of way at the intersection, and her Ford was hit by the semi-truck.

Novick was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, where she later died.

The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
