Francisco Quijada Killed in McAllen Three-Vehicle Crash on McColl Road; Lou Gomez Arrested

McAllen, Texas (February 23, 2022) – One person was killed, and five others were injured Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in McAllen, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 4:23 p.m., February 22, in the 6300 block of S. McColl Road.

Police said three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Francisco Quijada, 85, was killed in the crash. Five other people in a separate vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the third vehicle, Lou Autry Gomez, 22, was arrested and has been charged with manslaughter, a second-degree felony.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
